Shrimp is a favorite seafood for a lot of people because they do not feel it has an overwhelming fishy taste. It has a mild flavor compared to a lot of other seafood and is often escribed as a little sweet and a little salty. Shrimp is slightly chewy and firm as wellOur shrimp are peeled, deveined and ready to be used in your favorite recipes. The mildly sweet flavor and firm, tender texture is delicious in both appetizers and main course recipes.
Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 garlic gloves, minced
- ¾ cup dry white wine or chicken stock
- ½ tablespoon salt
- ½ tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 ½ large or extra-large shrimp, shelled and deveined
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add in wine and bring to a simmer. Allow wine to reduce by half, about 6 minutes. Add in salt, red pepper flakes and plenty of black pepper.
- Add in shrimp and sauté until shrimp is just pink, about 2 to 4 minutes depending upon their size. Stir in the parsley and lemon juice and serve with crusty bread.
- If serving over pasta, reserve ¼ cup of the pasta cooking liquid. Stir the reserved liquid into the butter sauce before tossing with pasta.
