Snapper is a meaty fish, with a good yield of lean white flesh with a moist, yet firm texture. Its flavor is mild and slight sweet. A snapper fillet can be sauteed, baked, grilled, fried,
broiled, oven roasted, or cooked in butter in a pan. You can bake it with lemons, butter, and some fresh herbs and your family will want more and more!

Our skin on, scales off snapper fillets are individually wrapped, boneless, frozen, and ready for cooking.

Red Snapper with Lemon & Herbed Butter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Lemons
  • 4 Red Snapper Fillets
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
  • ¼ Teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Softened
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons Fresh Herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut one of the lemons into 8 slices. Place the lemon slices, in pairs, on a baking sheet coated with the cooking spray. Grate the rest of the lemon to get lemon rind; set the lemon rind aside.
  3. Place one of the fillets on top of each pair of lemon slices. Combine the salt, pepper, paprika and place over the fillets. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily, or until the degree of doneness you would like.
  4. Combine the lemon rind you reserved with the butter and herbs in a small bowl.
  5. Place fish and lemon slices on a plate and top each fillet with the herbed butter (spread to melt if desired).
